Website, hosting, and server logs

This website is provided using hosting services by STRATO AG. When you visit it, STRATO processes technically necessary data sent by your browser. This may include your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested page, browser and operating-system information, and the previously visited page. The data is processed to provide, secure, and maintain the website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

This website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Contact by email

When you contact me by email, I process your information only to handle your request and any follow-up questions. Depending on the request, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

Contact form

Information submitted through the contact form (name, email address, message) is processed only to answer your inquiry. It is sent directly to me by email; no third-party providers or external form services are involved, and the data is not stored in a database. Depending on the request, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

Offline apps

This policy also applies to simple offline game apps by Christian Tonke, including VoidWave and Snake Rewind. These apps work without a user account, an internet connection during use, analytics, or advertising software. Apps with different data practices, such as user accounts or online features, have their own privacy policy.

For my productivity and everyday apps (including HomeOps, FollowThrough, ShiftBridge, PrivateScribe, Contract Clock, Warranty Guard and others) the supplementary privacy notes for apps apply, with one section per app. These apps also work without a user account, advertising or tracking and store content locally on the device. Some, however, offer an optional end-to-end encrypted sync via your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive, or a connection to a self-hosted server run by your team. What leaves the device in those cases and which permissions each app uses is described there.

Locally stored app data

Game progress and high scores are stored only on the device. They do not leave the device, are not transmitted to me or third parties, and cannot be linked to a person. The data is removed when the app is deleted.

App stores

When downloading and using an app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google process data independently, for example to operate their stores, install apps, and provide updates. Read more in the Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. Questions can be sent to christian@tonke.de.
